Privacy Policy

The Resonant System (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Hyphenated Labs LLC, based in Seattle, Washington. This policy explains what we collect and why, across this website and the reflections we send by email.

What we collect

Your email address — only if you subscribe. When you enter your email to subscribe, we store it to send you the daily reflection and occasional related updates. Subscription is double opt-in: we email a confirmation link, and you’re only added once you confirm. That’s the only personal information we ask for.

Anonymous usage analytics. When a reflection is read or shared, we record the event — which reflection, and whether it was read or shared — along with a coarse country derived from your network connection and a daily-rotating, non-identifying marker used only to count unique visits within a single day. We do not use cookies, we do not store your IP address, and there is no cross-site or cross-day tracking. You can turn this off by visiting any page with ?mute-analytics=1 appended to the URL.

A referral code, stored only in your browser. If you arrive through a shared link that carries a referral code, that code is saved in your browser’s local storage (not on our servers), reserved for possible future referral features.

What we don’t do

No advertising. No selling or renting your information. No third-party advertising or analytics trackers. No tracking cookies.

Service providers

We use a few vendors purely to run the site, each processing data only to provide their service:

• Supabase — stores the subscriber list and runs the subscribe function.
• Cloudflare — hosts and serves the website.
• Resend — delivers the reflection emails.
• Google Fonts — fonts load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering the font.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email.
• Opt out of analytics as described above.
• Request deletion of your email from our list by contacting us at hello@resonantsystem.com.

Children

The Resonant System is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We reserve the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time, at our discretion — for example, if our practices change, we add a feature, or the law requires it. When we make a change, we’ll post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes to how we use your email, we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the site or the emails after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
